I look at the data and not trade based on emotion. I agree that this spending orgy is unsustainable and when it turns, I think it will turn over for a long time. That's why I'm not willing to jump in front of the train anticipating a turn.

Calculated Risk is short term bearish and long term bullish. I'm just the opposite. I think we have an F'ed up out of balance economy that will take a very long time to rebalance.

However, out of balance can stay that way for a long time. I'm certainly not going to jump out and start shorting stocks right now until I see unemployment claims consistently tick higher and retail sales deteriorate.

Everything you said could have been said last Summer right before the market jumped 20% in 7 months.
