same in philly, i believe they did increase budget to put 100 more cops on the beat. the problem is these people do not get any real repesentation. imo

the minority areas in every city has their part of baghdad and it is ignored by congress, msn, and public. It is a much bigger problem than Baghdad if we take a body count on all these drive bys.

I doubt cops even go into the neighborhoods during the day time never mind at night. if they go in it is most likely with several patrol cars.

I guess it's called no taxation, no representation. Try to get away with a drive by in Radnor pa. ha

According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports, in 2005 about 49% of American murder victims were white, 49% were black, and 3% were Asians, Pacific Islander, and Native Americans.

That LA Times blog showed a long list of murders that 'took up too much space' to be printed in the newspaper.

I scanned the first page, which was about two dozen victims. Mostly blacks and latinos, with a Filipino and a Cambodean for diversity.

L.A. Times crime reporter Jill Leovy has an absolutely fascinating new blog called The Homicide Report. latimesblogs.latimes.com
