You said our military spending as a percentage of GDP was 'small potatoes'. And I've heard this type of comment from other right-wingers.

Your math error isn't important, but where's the logic? Or am I missing your point?

Are we supposed to be sanguine about deficit spending because right now it's a small percentage of GDP? What the heck does GDP have to do with it anyway?

If I rack up 100k in credit card debt and it starts to crowd out my ability to pay basic bills, do I sit back and say 'oh, but my debt is really only .0000000000000000000000000001% of GDP?

Show me the logic, please, in your thinking.
