The only problem for you is that paleocons for the most part reject Keynesian economics.

Keynes wasn't talking about economics in that passage I quoted.

He was talking about history, the end of empires and the collapse of the then-globalized economy, and what it meant to the people who lost their connections for international trade.

If you didn't get that, you might try reading it again.

There are Americans who wish to destroy the globalized economy, but they're pretty much in fringe groups.

Your hero, Bill Clinton, was a stalwart supporter of globalization, and I expect his wife is, as well. As is the Republican party.
