The terrorists for 9/11 didn't come through Canada or Mexico, they came in through American airport security with passports and/or visas. The only terrorist that tried to get into the US from Canada was stopped, at the border by American border guards. You still haven't been attacked from Canada but now you are going to require Canadians who have always been the best friends Americans have had to show passports, to be "foreigners" and frankly there are extremely few examples of Canadians strapping on waistbands full of explosives and blowing things up. But that is fine. Be prepared for a response, because Canadians look at peace since 1812, and then they see just plain foolishness. Americans are apologizing for suspecting Muslims who commit thousands of acts of terrorism a year, and then tell Canadians that they are under suspicion. But yes you will be safe, alone, but safe.
