How can Americans be so bloody stupid, the terrorists are freaking Muslims. Figure it out, it just is not that hard. I don't see Canadians profiling Muslims. That is illegal here.

Ichy I don't take this as an insult to our Canadian friends and my Canadian friends who live there. Consider that you have a terrorist who enters through Mexico or via some other mode and decides to make Canada the target and not America. A border check for passports going into Canada from the USA just might catch that person or persons who just happen to be terrorist types and prevent destruction and killing in Canada.

Oh, Ichy....Why do you disagree with the passport idea...It does seem simple enough. Yes, it's expensive every few years, but on the other hand, so is having the murdering barbarians running amuck. We have to use passports in EVERY country in the world to go between countries, do we not? I think Canadians do as well, right? I however, do agree with the idiocy of not screening for anyone who looks like they are trying to hide something... What would you suggest...using a daisy cutter to make a moat between the countries where idiots could make a tunnel?
