Yes.

I wasted a lot of time trying to come up with a better one. I don't know you and I probably failed to track the discussion far enough.

I know you were talking about the 'safety of society.' Perhaps I did misread you, but I was thinking along the lines of not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good.

To me it makes no sense to wish for a failure in the courtroom or in Iraq or any other venue so the best imperfect nation (or kid) can learn its lesson and 'be more just' next time.
