I recently had a conversation here on SI with a person who absolutely believes that the Bush admin is the most corrupt admin that has ever existed. The whole premise of the discussion was related to terrorism but his over riding issue was how corrupt republicans and the Bush admin is/are, and he never did answer my questions about terrorism.

He believes that impeachment hasn't begun because the corrupt republicans blocked it while they held the majority. That every time someone asked for an investigation, the Republicans torpedoed it. That Bush "is responsible for the entire mess, including over 3000 Americans dead and about 20,000 permanently wounded."

That it is going to take at least a generation for this country to recover from the damage he has caused not only to our economic well being but to our physical security.

That people in the Pentagon know that Bush has weakened our own defenses by sending National Guard troops in to do the surge.

He rails about no bid contracts to cronies who care only about the money rolling in etc. And that Bush has in fact fired those still working in the government who didn't agree with him.

So if you think you or I or the Military or this administration stands a snowballs chance in hell of convincing these people that we need to all unite and defeat terrorism I have a bridge to sell you.

I told him he should call the Micheal Medved show on Conspiracy Theory day.
