Dems need to squash Republicans for a permanent victory. It's the only way to get decency back into the government. Right now, there's no reason to believe anything that comes out of Washington or any State Capital or mayor's office for that matter. It's all a pack of lies which are the result of 25 years of rightwing crappola. Republicans should be squashed into a minor southern party...permanently. That would then leave the DLC Corporate Dems and the true progressives to slug it out. :)
