Sorry, GZ, I wasn't being literal. I was poking fun at the politically correct crowd (the peace-in-our-timers) who think conservatives are old-fashioned (retro) for believing in just plain right and wrong; calling a spade a spade and dealing decisively with our enemies. They want America to be 'nuanced' in their approach to world politics and be inclusive and understanding of the ME world that wants us annihilated. Because if we were, why, by golly, the Arabs and Persians would fall over themselves to meet with us to discuss our differences 'over lattes.'
