I am a bull on stocks. Not a fervent bull, but a bull.

Are you backing off on your 17K DOW call for 07?

I know all about employment statistics, unlike the posters here. I follow this stuff as a part of my job.

Here is a post I made a few mos ago.

56K jobs per month in this entire decade. pathetic. The source is the BLS. Now go ahead and tell me what Noland says. hahah.

Jan 2001: 132471 "the Bush economy"
Oct 2006: 135844

The Bush economy created 3.3 million JOBS in 5 years, or 56K JOBS per month, about ONE THIRD of what we need just to handle population growth.

In Comparison look at the early non-bubble Clinton years:
Jan 1992: 108313
Jan 1996: 118192

The Clinton economy created 10 million JOBS in 4 years.
