"politics of the past" You mean the politics where we were seeing economic growth along with shrinking deficits and eventually surpluses? You mean the politics where we essentially froze the N. Korean threat while opening up the N. Koreans to the influences of S. Korea? You mean the politics that ended the Serbian Genocide and brought peace to the Balkans? You mean the politics that allowed our financial people to open the Russian economy to the outside world? You mean the politics that brought more welfare recipients into the workplace than anything else in the last 40 years? You mean the politics that came closest to ending the Israeli/Palestinian problem since 1948? CHANGE isn't a "magic elixir". I'd prefer "politics of the past" that actually seemed to work over throwing the dice and HOPING for the best.
