There was never much doubt that Iran's influence with it's neighboring SHIITES in Iraq was great... nor that Iran has strategically benefited probably more then anyone else from the over-throw of their great enemy Saddam. GZ, you need to identify the participants, have a 'score card', to be able to tell what's going on.... It was INSTRUCTIVE to hear the testimony of the US Marines this week: The sophisticated 'IEDs' that are being supplied by Iran are going to their allied IRAQI SHIITE MILITIAS (such as the Badr Brigade... though their are dozens, most embedded throughout the Iraqi government.) The Marines say that the Shiites are killing off their Sunni enemies, dispossessing them of their land and homes... and then every time the US tries to crack-down on the Shiite Militias, that is when these sophisticated IEDs are deployed against our forces. So, basicly, when we try to 'stop' the civil war they are intent on having... we get targeted. (Anytime we help one side out, the other side reacts as if it's an attack upon them... which, essentially, it is....) So: LET THE CIVIL WAR between the extremists rage, say I! It's in OUR INTEREST.
