I spent summers at my grandmothers cottage. My dad gave us rock picks and we spent the summers banging away at the big rocks they used to hold the shoreline. Our neighbours on both sides were Americans their neighbours on both sides were Canadian. We all swam like fishes and fished a lot and caught nothing. I was pretty startled when I found out when I was 50 that my Mom's family had been stone Masons for hundreds of years. Everyone in her family expected us to be playing with rocks and moving them and breaking them, cause for them that is what children played with......
