Didn't Motorola take over Nortel's soft switches position within Huawei? Axis of evil is a yesterday phase and excludes 80%-90% of global telecom. On that front, didn't we see a Nortel install going into southern Iraq recently?

What Zafirofski stopped Nortel from doing was winning unprofitable business. Zander kaboshed that silliness too. The other important Zander and Zafirofski drift is focusing on where the industry is going rather than entrenching itself where the axe has yet to swing.

For some, lot's of lessons were learned about doing business in developing countries. Just look at what happened with the billions that flowed into Latin America and then there was that Turkey fiasco. Maybe, others have yet to learn the value of a real dollar.
