I think Saddam was made more than accountable for his invasion of Kuwait, we reduced his country to ruble with all the sanctions we placed on the country.

Iraq was made accountable for Saddam's actions. He faced no personal consequences at all.

I agree that the United States should not have invaded Iraq, but that doesn't mean I think that Saddam should have been allowed to skate off without being held personally responsible for his personal decisions. It should ideally have been done multilaterally, but the combination of an oafish American administration and the mercenary mendacity of the French and Russians made that impossible.
