When all this comes to a head, the big retailers will get slammed mercilessly, and - as far as I'm concerned - any runup, any uptick, any upgrade (for example: Goldman's recent hump of Target) should be used as an opportunity to build short positions.

This is one of those rare opportunities where the short targets have huge floats, huge capitalizations which become increasingly difficult to move upwards, and sit on the precipice of an almost certain secular economic downtrend.

Not even a question of if anymore...just when.
