Nah, Bush is in it for his BASE and his BASE is doing astoundingly well thank you. Bush doesn't care what happens outside of his BASE which is why he sleeps very well and cracks stupid jokes...remember that offensive bit about looking for WMDs in the Oval Office? Republicans would have sent Clinton out on a rail for anything even approaching such offensive behavior. IMO it's wrong and useless to think that Bush cares about anything else but his BASE. As long as the money spigot is wide open, Bush is pleased as punch.
