Chickadees seem to be birds' early warning system. At my other house, I had a feeder devoted to niger seed. ALl the others had safflower and sunflower seed. The chickadees never seemed to want!

It's called pecking order. I've put out about 250 pounds of food so far and need to buy more.

Hell, I saw a hawk and a crow sitting side by side on the same limb today being best buddies.
