Forgive us, for we know not we do-lol.

In administrative theory there is a concept called "constructive conservatism". In essense it is that the complexity of government that everyone gets upset with has a good function in that venel people have to wade through it to do evil things. It was probably coined by Max Weber the father of modern administrative theory.

The great historian Henry Steel Commenger once said: "Nixon was the largest threat to our democracy since the civil war in that he tried to undermine the constitution of the United States". So his efforts to do away with the two term rule and the environmetnal protection agency, etc met the wall of bureauocracy. Nixon also had a democratic congress to deal with.

Nixon was elected on a secret plan to end the war. There was no plan and he actually increased the war by bombing cambodia. But after 6 years more of Nixon's vietnam the democratic congress finally just cut off funds. After we got out Vietnam started to prosper.

Bush had a republican congress and they had a deal. Bush would not question anything the congress did and the congress would not question anything GW did. So GW went the longest of any presidents in not vetoing legislation e.g. earmarks(which increased 10 fold under GW), ethics, etc. And the congress held up their end of the bargin giving GW a blank check.

The irony being that the first thing GW did veto was the stem cell research. The one thing he should not have vetoed.

And now we have messed around so long, paying no attention to the baby boomers (no one has even been talking about that juggernaut of economic need and it has now arrived). I am in the first line and behind me are millions more and nothing has been done about it for the past 6 years.

We are alice and this is wonderland---off with their head-lol!

PS the president of OZ got all over Obama saying he was giving support to the terrorists. Obama retorted: "if he is so hot on this war then he can send another 20,000 aussies. The Aussies have only about 1,000 people over there.

My rant for the day-lol.
