At the same time there seems to be more additional ice in western and central Antarctica. I'm not saying that the total net for the world is more ice rather than less, I'm just pointing out that the issue is complex, and different parts of the data support different conclusions. I'm not saying that the more extreme global warming scenarios have been debunked, merely that the Sharon Begley article posted by Ted, is wrong when it says that their claims have already been shown to be true.
