I disagree that rajahamdingdong

or whatever his name is, is a certifiable. That is classical propaganda. In fact whilst he is dangerously tweaking the nose of the US prexy on building nukes, (who needs another nuker in that area?) he actually sounds good to me. He is not a Sadaam. Sadaam was more of a military blunderer than a direct threat to the region. He lost 500,000 men trying to take on Iran, and energized that country into a massive tech and industrial leap to compensate for their obvious military and organizational shortcomings so glaringly demonstrated by that war.

Iraq was interested in the old days of launching a n-s spy satellite system like the Russian Glonass, so they could leverage their military options. The story about a big gun pointing at Israel was propaganda hooey. At any rate Gerald Bull's gun's payload, its fixed nature, and firing rate made it completely ineffective as an attack weapon. It was a fixed installation pointing south. If you can see the enemy you can manoeuver effectively. This showed in their confronation with the US, where their Russian satellite data was significantly behind the US keyhole stuff. A few tens of minutes count in this game.
