Well, during that period of time OVTI managed a 200% appreciation. It didn't do that because of GM compression. It did that because of expectations of new product releases. There are always glitches in tech advances which need to be ironed out. The stock relapsed not because of GM compression, but rather, from product delays.

the discussions of you guys look like the (premature?) discussions I had with Eleroy about OVTO when we first met. Have to admit though, that at that time my claims in this same directions could be considered to be highly speculative. The future of now commoditized plaain CMOS sensors like the product from OVTO and Micron now lies with the the vendors of volume DRAM technology. Samsung, Micron... but not with OVTI.
