It's silly to just call this another protest, especially when the protesters clearly shout their support for jihad.

That's right, jihad. The very word that is used to rile up terrorists.

Jihad, as far as I know, just means warfare for religion, be it defense or offense. Muslims fighting against a non-Muslim state is by definition jihad - holy war. What would you expect Muslims to call resistance to Israel? You can dispute their reasons, but their terminology is accurate.

The very word that can only be "nuanced" away by those who believe if Israel went away, so would most of the problems of the Middle East.

Who wants to 'nuance a word away', whatever that means? Do you think there is something special about protestors calling for jihad? It happens all the time amongst Muslim protesters.

now I wonder if you've been paying too much attention to Arab media, which itself is hardly as diverse as the media here in the West.

Arabic media is usually in Arabic, so I don't watch or read it. Me no speakum the lingo if you know what I mean.

Heck, can you even have a PRO-ISRAEL protest on any campus of an Arab nation? Didn't think so.

Sure, then you can hold the gay pride parade and the American Idol Worship festival!

I used to believe that, but now I wonder if you've been paying too much attention to Arab media,

Sometime I read the "Arab media" when they cover the big stories....

Anna Nicole planned to visit Dubai days before her death
By Abbas Al Lawati, Staff Reporter

Dubai: Anna Nicole Smith was planning to visit Dubai three days before her death to rehabilitate from drug dependence, a US-based news website has reported.

Smith would have been brought to Dubai by her lawyer and lover, Howard K. Stern, to help her avoid drugs, reported the Fox News website on Sunday.

The report quotes an unidentified source in Dubai who was arranging for Smith's move to Dubai. "Howard knew she was around drugs all the time and wanted to bring her to a place where there aren't any ... We couldn't believe it. We thought they were coming here. It's very sad."

The website report also says that the source claims that the Sultan of Brunei was asked to help bring Smith to Dubai.
