Homeland Security Group International Ballistics Division Announces Contract Awarded to Partner Protective Solutions for Revolutionary New Lightweight Armor

$1.3 Million Awarded by US Army TACOM

SAN DIEGO, CA, Feb 14, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HMSG), announced today that HMSG's ballistic partner, Protective Solutions of Dulles, Virginia, has been awarded a $1.3 million dollar contract to supply the US Military with ballistic armor solutions for amphibious assault vehicles.
"The announcement of this contract signals the Army's intent to better protect our troops by purchasing, testing, evaluating and deploying the best solutions available on the market," commented Colonel Powers. "We have demonstrated that this material can stop multiple strikes from 7.62 high velocity rifle rounds, has passed the government's mandatory requirement for HP White standards and the military has assigned National Stock Numbers (NSNs) to our various configurations. Working with Protective Solutions, we have introduced the ballistic blanket in all of its configurations to the US Army and Marine Corps and have demonstrated its use and easy of application to key decision makers of the armored vehicle community. We are confident that we have the manufacturing capability to meet the government's need for continued supply of lightweight armor solutions. We also believe our pricing and quality of product is exactly what US Army and Marine Corps is looking for," concluded Powers.

HMSG expressed immense pleasure from positive feedback received from a recent visit to the Pentagon to speak with Marine Corps leadership. "Our Commandant and Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps want to get the best technology on the ground and protecting our troops immediately. There is no doubt that our products are needed NOW," commented Mark Wilson, HMSG Chief Operating Officer. "We are continuing to see wounds caused by armor piercing ammunition which impact our troops while they are riding in vehicles. This additional layer of ballistic material applied to the interior of vehicles is a solution we feel will save lives. We have demonstrated our revolutionary technology and the military knows our products work .We are serious about saving lives."

The $1.3 million dollar contract was for the purchase of 1041 ballistic blankets in each of the twelve different configurations.
