My statement is very consistent with the pattern of British colonial practices. I don't need much proof beyond that. To suggest that the Brits suddenly got a religion and became righteous just before their departure is what requires proof. Incidentally, the first time the Iraqi civilians were victim of chemical bombings was at the hands of the British under the leadership of Churchill. I don't think a person who orders chemical bombings of a population has their best interest at heart.
