Only because I fail to understand why you seem so intent on continuing to expend American blood, and massive amounts of American national treasure (not to mention Opportunity Cost) in an effort to KEEP the Sunni/Shiites sides apart... prevent them from killing each other....

You just gave me AN IDEA. The ole LIGHT BULB came on. Here it is: They say a lot of this terrorism is cause the terrorists dont have a job and need the money paid them to plant IED's to live upon. OK, when we were settling the old west we paid BOUNTY's for INDIAN SCALPS. So, why dont we pay BOUNTIES for IRANIAN SCALPS. That ought to get everyone busy in the hunt. Incidently this is not even an old practice, we pay them at times for wolves, coyotes and so on. jdn
