Is there something about 30,000 Americans that scares the North. What is that? The presence of 30K American troops is called a "tripwire" by the commanders there. There's no way on earth that North Korea can invade the South without spilling American blood. Once that happens, America will have justification to go bomb the crap out of Pyongyang. Think of it as South Korea's "human shield." > What if the North knew that China and America would "automatically rush" to the the defense of the South if the North invaded I'd sure like to hear a public statement from China dedicating itself to the peace and security of the two Koreas before I speculate on how the North might react. Besides, China is already paying the price of North Korea's antics.
