Thanks for the thoughtful comments, uw! Most of us here have known our Military aren't nation-builders.... Where in our government is the problem? POTUS, State Department, CIA, FBI for domestic problems, the Pentagon, entrenched lifers in all department and probably many other etcs that I haven't thought about.... Right now, we can't trust our regular media, either in print or any other source. In our case, we have two Democrat Senators, who are both know-not-much's....Very few Repub House members. With the House and Senate making noises to pass the budget asked for by the Admin, BUT the possibility they will tie strings on each part of it, making it almost not possible to spend the money where the Military has asked for, and needs.....WHAT can we do? I remember VN well...and hated the Democrats for doing what they are threatening to do again...sending our men and women into harms way, but not giving them what they need to win the war, and to protect themselves at the same time. IF the Dems and some Repubs do as they are threatening, then maybe it is time for the rest of us to find the protest lines... Rather than a very typical Leftie AntiVictory rally, we should start planning A Republican Patriotic ProVICTORY marching assembly.
