Be careful for what you wish for, my confused, naive friend, you might get it.

I don't support fighting the "war against terrorism" with a sense of paranoia. Nor do I support fighting the war in a place such as Iraq where there were no terrorists to begin with.

The terrorists succeed in attacking on 9/11 because Bush was sleeping on the job and vacationing in Texas when he was barely 1 year on the job. We folks cannot take our vacation until we are 1 year on the job. But here was the President, instead of learning the ropes was away taking it easy. enough said on terrorism and this is not a terrorism thread.

I support Obama because of his knowledge of how other nations and their leaders react based on their culture. He learnt it via his personal experience and he put that to use when he came out against the war. Not only that but way back then, he also laid out what he would have done then if he was in the WH. And what impressed me is that he came out against "cowboy diplomacy".

Let us keep on track to the spirit of this thread and not bring back issues which the voters have already rejected in Nov. 2006. Through their votes, they have stated clearly that the Iraq war is not a a "war against terrorism". Consequently, they want the troops out of Iraq and redeployed to fight the terrorists in the mountains of Afghanistan and the province of Waziristan.
