Composite Technology's Cable Subsidiary Granted Key Patent

IRVINE, Calif., March 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTC Bulletin Board: CPTC - News) announced that its subsidiary, CTC Cable Corporation, has been granted United States Patent 7,179,522 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This patent is directed to important aspects of CTC Cable's ACCC core and ACCC conductor, and represents the company's fifth US Patent grant.
Benton Wilcoxon, CEO stated, "This patent is fundamental to our company's intellectual property strategy. In addition to addressing the current composition of our ACCC core, this patent encompasses and contemplates the use of a broad range of composite materials that may be used to produce future enhancements, while substantially restraining the commercialization of potentially competing products. This patent also protects important aspects of the current and envisioned manufacturing processes, which will further protect the commercialization of our ACCC conductor. Additional patent protection is also being pursued internationally to further protect, not only the composite core and manufacturing processes, but also the ancillary hardware components."

Composite Technology Announces Key Turbine Engineer Joins DeWind
Monday March 26, 8:05 am ET

IRVINE, Calif., March 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTC Bulletin Board: CPTC - News) announced today the addition of Emil Moroz as Executive Vice President Engineering of DeWind Inc., a subsidiary of CTC that produces and markets utility scale wind turbines. Mr. Moroz has been the Chief Engineer at Garrad Hassan America, Inc., responsible for wind turbine assessment and site suitability review of utility scale wind projects in North America as well as due diligence on behalf of banks, owners and investors.



Formerly, Mr. Moroz was a System Integration Leader at General Electric Wind Energy, responsible for Low Wind Speed Turbine & Next Generation Turbine Programs. His career in the wind energy business includes the position of Principal Engineer for the Center of Advanced Technology, formerly Enron Wind Corporation; Senior Mechanical Engineer for Zond Energy Systems; Principal Investigator for the Wind Energy Research Group at the University of Texas. Mr. Moroz holds a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Southampton University in the UK as well as a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.
