Yep. Its also a society where people don't bring their laws and their ancient ways with them to establish here. They may get nostalgic about the old country and feel affection for it, but they don't try to establish it here.

You mean we've been practicing American Indian laws and customs all these years? I missed the memo.

Tell me how do Jews solve the family disputes? How do they deal with burial? How about marriages? I have been to many Jewish wedding and funeral. This is what I call keep up the old country.

"They may get nostalgic about the old country and feel affection for it, but they don't try to establish it here."

Most of us speak American right, Oh wait … I wonder why we call it English?

Most immigrant communities have imported culture and established some sort of folk centers from the Orthodox Jewish community in New York, to Chinatowns and Little Italies in many major cities.

Catholicism, Mariachi music and Mexican cuisine are commonly found throughout the south-west with some Latino dishes such Burritos and Tacos being found anywhere in the nation... different than Cajun food but just as spicy and delicious. Ever heard of the Knights of Columbus? They seem sort of distinct from the Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch.

I forget, when was it Americans invented Karate? I haven’t been to a reservation lately but, oh well, I think I’ll skip the pub and go visit the local Ashram next week…

I’m pretty sure we can find major regions of imported culture and contributions from every identifiable group in America.

Are you sure you've actually been to America?
