5.25% of entire building

normally I would consider it, when we only put down 3%

more than doubling moolah in 24 hours

but not this time

Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:

(i) I sold a lot of my paper gold, at HKD 6,123/tael; they were purchased at various times earlier noted:

Message 22784336 @ 5,940/tael

Message 22780625 @ 5,860/tael

Message 22763828 @ 5,709/tael

Before the first purchase noted immediately above, at 5,709/tael, I had liquidated here Message 22658071 , a link that spotlights the earlier iteration of buy-in at between 5,300-5,800/tael, and turning tale on the tael at 6,015/tael.

Beautifully played, if only I admire it.

(ii) In any case, I have turned the moolah into Yen, to back track on this earlier wager Message 22770947 (Yen to Euro exchange) that also turned out to be beautifully played.

And now, I sit back, watch the Yen Carry drama, and wait to (i) accumulate more physical gold in exchange for gains generated from paper gold, (ii) buy back paper gold so that I generate more taels of gains with which to accumulate more physical gold.

I like the market energy, I enjoy the to and fro, I relish the up and down, and I anticipate a spectacle that ought to shock and awe, biblical fashion, framed by crimson mist and Dolby-surrounded by screaming and shouting.

I still have taels of paper gold (30% of original position), to unload on the salvation-seekers, should my judgment be wrong about either price and/or timing of above turning of taels.

(iii) Reminder: fear is a survival trait, and panic is rational.

Chugs, J

Hello Pezz, Today's Second Report:

I signed the Sale & Purchase Agreement on behalf of Gold Citadel to acquire the little building near the HK Gold & Silver Exchange, and spoke to the lawyer about the how's of changing the use of the building should I deem necessary. The procedure is apparently straightforward in Freedom Kowloon and Money Hong Kong especially as the Citadel owns the whole building. Spoke to the real estate agent on rental increases when the leases come due for renewal in the third quarter, and I feel good.

Walked around and looked at some more buildings ... just keeping tabs on what is where for reference when the financial tsunami hits.

I also purchased some gold of the Gold Panda type today using my daughter's traditional Chinese Lunar New Year "Red Packet" money that were gifted to her by her elders here, there and everywhere (a required command performance, where all married folks must give single folks and valued service providers packet of money ranging from a few dollars to perhaps one hundred dollars). This is how I mineralized all of the gift money she had received upon and since birth.

While visiting the gold distributor, I walked passed one of the huge TV panels on the side of enormous office buildings that plays different TV news channels, and caught Marc Faber talking on Bloomberg bloomberg.com

He spoke deliciously about the long term worth of gold, the attractiveness of the Japanese Yen, and the short term wobble that might hit gold.

It was like hearing my favorite music band :0)
