There are themes, sure. But Nashville is, well, Nashville. Ever hear David Allen Coe's perfect C&W song?

No, I hadn't heard the perfect CW song but that's exactly what I meant by themes.

"Do most people in TX like country?"

It can be hard to avoid.

Very true.

There is a lot of music of various types here. Various types of country are popular, Nashville gets a lot of play in the larger cities, not as much outside of them.

"actually more Austin country."

Which is very different than Nashville. And nowhere near as formulaic. If you go back over their last few albums, The Chicks have been tacking hard in the direction of Austin.

That makes sense but I think their last album is somewhere out there......not CW, not Austin, not R&B.....I don't know what you would call it. I have to say they seemed out of place at the Grammies......not because they are/were CW but because they seem too smart for that crowd.
