IMO- It's a mixed blessing in disguise. It will create demand for other fuel technologies. It will promote the use of other alternative ethanol feed stocks and other efficient cost savings.

Farmers had to endure for many years the setbacks of grain embargos for political punishment that did very little. Now we have in place a ethanol infrastructure that is now built and still growing. IMO since the Arab oil embargo, if the US had in place a ethanol infrastructure like we have now. Alternative fuels would be a lot further ahead.
