It could be just the beginning. After the Dell lawsuit, other Intel customers might also state the rebate from Intel in the financial reports.

Well, Dell would have to state it first in order for other customers to also state the same thing.

But you bring up an interesting question. What if Dell decided to re=state their financial statements with inclusion of these rebates / loyalty payments?

The problem right now is that the likelihood of this is roughly NIL, since it s almost an admission of guilt (regarding the shareholder lawsuit). Dell is not going to voluntarily release anything now, but if the lawsuits gets off the ground, some info may come out as a result.

Did you miss the fact that AMD does the same thing?
