Gib, No I have no idea how much nickel is being stockpiled; and I thought I made it quite clear I do not have any idea how this mystery will unfold. Part of the reason I do not have any idea how this mytery will unfold is that I do not know how much nickel may be stockpiled, or not stockpiled. I also do not know how high the price will need to go to even out supply and demand. I do not know how elastic nickel is, nor do I know what the world need of nickel will be going forward with new steel products and hybrid and electric cars. But something caused those nickel supplies to be drawn down to almost nothing. Conversly, I also do not know if nickel consumers have drawn down their invenories and will need to replenish their inventories. Which is why I said I had no idea how this nickle shortage and high prices would unfold-lol. And PS: they are pretty much the same population with a very high correlation!-lol There is some overlap in the two poulations, but they are more alike than different IMO.
