Nice to know you. Engineers are now slaves to automated design software that can generate one design per month using Ford parts as old as designed since 1935. The business has changed so much that supply chain software does not need middle level management decisions any more. The layoff will continue as productivity from computer automation takes over; the CEO can directly collaborate with hourly workers thru instant messaging system such as Lotus Domino the sametime software. We think as a stockholder, we have a better turn around business plan than the Ford management.
