What ally like behaviour did they show during WWII?
Not to mention the battle they fought against the U.S. Navy during the invasion of North Africa (Torch) in 1942. I toured the battleship Massachusetts years ago and saw the huge shell holes inflicted by the French battleship Jean d'Arc preceding the landing. The Massachusetts sank the Jean d'Arc, but the French navy was fighting for the Axis in that battle.
