Pam - Jan/Fb has in the past been the time for unpleasant surprises from Eli.

No matter there is a full blown price war on becuase a bunch of companies thought that nand was a nice gravy train and they were desperate and so decided to try and put their noses in the trough in the hope of getting some swill. Their noses are now hurting.

Eli should now pile on the pressure with even more agressive price cuts and keep cutting till the pips squeek. Clear them out with enough pain to let them try some other field of the semi industry and SNDK can get back to inventing and marketing all sorts of new goodies.

Odd as this sounds it will be better if there are a bunch of downgrades next week allowing Eli to keep cutting the prices till all fat is gone and it looks to the industry as though he won't fear cutting into muscle and that this pain of heavy price reductions is just going to go on and on.

SNDK is in a price war and is in a better position to fight than most of the others.

Best,

L

Hmm. There were close to 20K Puts @ 40 to expire worthless (acc to Yahoo). Maybe someone (big) got blindsided with this afterhour announcement; maybe, if a hedge fund or whatever was causing some grief it was payback time. If so, it was a pretty slick move. I'm long SNDK and regretting it at the moment; could have used the money for other things and gotten back in later. Now, I'm underwater. Lurked for a time; thanks for all your posts - very informative. 'Specially Pam.
