Let us know what the troops say if you hear anything. The troops I talk to think America is in very real trouble. None believe this will be over in the 9 months allotted. They all understand that congress hired a new field general to lead them then refused to support the combat plans that same general told them he was going to use. They also understand the implications of hiring 901 felons annually and increasing the initial enlistment age to 42. One asked me if I knew that 42 thingee got us some grandmas to enlist. Then asked - what kind of army is that? The old-timers remember VOLAR. It began in 1973 This new VOLAR concept impresses no one. Soldiers have limited options. They vote with their feet at the end of their enlistment.
