"What is the probability that someone in Utah is from Bosnia?" The Mormon church sends out thousands of missionaries every year to countries all over the globe. They bring back all sorts of people they're hoping they can turn into Mormons, and adopt refugees from all over with the same purpose. A prophet has no honor in his OWN land. (But can con the naive foreigner easier than a hipper American) Salt Lake City is very international for a landlocked American city - probably more so than most.

My guess is that we have two unrelated incidents.....a conscientious objector type deserter and a mentally unstable teenager.....both of whom coincidentally attended the same mosque. But I also have no problem with someone who believes that that coincidence raises a red flag, to use Mj's term. And if this calls for even closer scrutiny of what might have been taught at that mosque, then so be it. I'm also open to the possibility that religion may have been a factor. At some point in the Bosnian War, the mall shooter had been supposdedly in a large group of refugees under fire from the Serbs and had seen alot of death close up. And some of his relatives had been killed. If you remember, Milosevic and the Serbs were Christians, primarily, and the Bosnians were primarily Muslim. So now this kids living in an overtly Christian community with a church on every corner. .... He has unresolved anger toward the Christian religion from his former life.....I don't know, just supposing here.:o) We'll never know. He left nothing behind, not even a computer.
