So do you think the leadership in France or Germany have a greater understanding than the leadership in the US? Did this just come down to the US having to do something serious after 9/11 to show who is boss without understanding the religion factor? Or how about the US/Israel ties? Saddam plus oil plus completing the 1991 mission for pop were convenient targets?
