Re: You took all too serious

If serious means using numbers from roadmaps and public statements rather than posting completely inaccurate and unreferenced numbers, then yes.

at this point of time, nobody really knows which splits will happen in 2007. Intel could ramp faster or slowlier - who knows, the same goes for AMD.

Yep, no fortune tellers here. All we have to go on is the limited information already available.

When 65nm is tweaked, why shouldn't AMD ship more than the
number which floated around? Do you know for sure, that AMD
will ship 7,5% K8L? How many DC units will be there? Do
you know that?

Most of the K10 production info is from HKEPC, and that may only include desktops. It doesn't sound unreasonable, but even if it is an accurate assessment of AMD's plans from last December, plans can change between then and H2 07. I don't pretend it is a 100% accurate prediction.

They only thing I know is, that Barcelona will instantly win all Serverbenchmarks in the given areas and the needed volumes (which aren't that big) could be delivered. Its that easy. What will happen in the desktop area we have to see ...

Just about everyone knows Barcelona will be a very strong performer, even if it doesn't instantly win all server benchmarks. Whether the performance will be enough to return AMD to profitability and regain their lost server market share remains to be seen.
