The one minor problem with your living as equals solution is that Muslims won't go for it, since Allah told them they have a solemn duty to live as superiors and RULE non-Muslims.

If all the inhabitants of Palestine were Christians and Jews, you might manage it. Or if by magic you changed all the Arabs into Americans, that would work. Even Belgians would do.

But the problem with minority status in the whole Arab Mideast is that the Arab notion of justice = Majority Muslims rule, minorities suffer. This is by no means confined to Palestine. Look at the status of Christians anywhere in the Mideast, Jews back when there were some in the Arab countries, or Shia in Sunni-ruled countries.

Find me even one example of the majority and the minorities truly living as equals. Just one.
