National Post Sat 17 Feb 07 - interesting article on a new player, private at this time. New type of solar power cell. The company, D4 Energy Inc, Canada's only solar panel maker (according to the Post).

According to the article, solar power in 2005 in Canada was paltry 16.75 megawatts, mostly in cottages and remote telecommunications. World wide solar is only 0.01 percent.

The article mentions that there are not enough solar panels to meet world demand.
