Have you looked at what Iraq's border's look like? and how long they are? and how porous by nature?


How many roads do you think there are going in and out of Iraq? Sure, if someone was going to camel a group of "jihadis" over the plains away from a border checkpoint, good for them, we can't stop them. On the other hand, should we have made it easy for the Syrians to drive busloads of jihadis down the Interstate 5 into wherever they want to go?
