You're not reading Iktomi. The notion that the CIA has been "policy prescriptive" for years, and decided to go to war with the Bush White House when it a) didn't agree with the CIA and b) depended on CIA intel that turned out to be horribly mistaken is not just my opinion, or c2's, or Barone's.

It is an established pattern, supported by hundreds of points of fact. Look again. It's all about blame-shifting and power-grabbing and career-protection. Follow those leads; ignore the rhetoric.
