Kabul - Afghan and Coalition forces were attacked by Taliban rebels in western Uruzgan province while clearing an improvised explosive device, according to a military statement Tuesday.

There were no reported Afghan or Coalition casualties during Monday's ensuing firefight that had the Taliban retreating into a cave.

The Coalition forces called for an airstrike that dropped a bomb on the cave, sealing it off. The military said there were no injuries to civilians during the operation.
