"You do not understand why people will be concerned after 9/11 and the daily heinous acts committed almost exclusively by one group and one group alone? You don't see how these could affect people seeing them on a daily basis?

I understand the shock and fear that these acts generate. They are intended to generate that kind of disorientation. Lots of bomb threats and such have been directed at innocent Muslims and organizations in my community. I have been a part of interaction between and among concerned citizens to educate people on what is realistic fear vs paranoid psychosis. It is understandable that without accurate information, people would not be able to move away from unrealistic even disabling fear. Paranoid psychosis is not a personality characteristic for normal people but its certainly something anyone can experience when the threats in the world seem huge and hard to identify. Why do you accuse me of not understanding that.

" would speak out against ANY group doing this, even if I belonged to it.

I have spoken out against radicalism at every opportunity. I am speaking out against you for hyping unrealistic fear and attempting to incite paranoid psychosis, instead of working with decent people to build and strengthen diverse communities in America. That is our strongest defense against terrorist threats from outside. When Muslim populations identify themselves as American, which they are, and share the positive aspects of American life with the folks from their countries of heritage, which they are, we become less of the great enemy to Islam, which we are not... Well unless you get people to believe your viewpoint.

Exactly, and that's the difference between you (or anyone with self respect) and that nut case gem who is afraid to stand up and be counted... it's obvious he lies... he name calls, but criticises others for using any labels at all, that's interesting...<g>
